Working with other teachers and students in a WIESCO camp is a life-changing experience. When I hear about Latvia or Poland or Lithuania in the news, I pay attention. I wonder about the students and the teachers I got to know there. The WIESCO camps have taught me so much about how important it is to get to know people face to face. I have been fortunate to teach in several countries, including Latvia in the
summers of 2002, 2003, and 2004. My experiences in Latvia were fantastic. I have
never been in a situation where the students and staff became closer in such
a short time. The support of the Latvian staff was "outstanding!"
I highly recommend this opportunity for anyone.
