ACTIVITIES
Some afternoon activities are small-group projects lead by one or two
American teachers, often with the help of an American student.
Below are some of the activities that have been favorites:
Drama Book Discussion
Choir Sports
Camp Newspaper Ultimate Frisbee
Crafts Basketball
Current Events Discussion Flag Football
Exploring Science Volleyball
American Sign Language Video Production
Each American teacher usually leads an activity during one
of the afternoon activity sessions and has the other session for free time.
Or sometimes, you might lead two one day and have none on the next day. We try
to insure that everyone has some afternoons free for leisure and for exploring
the town.
Twice each week, the entire camp joins in a special activity. For example, we
usually have an all-camp variety show, a scavenger hunt, an afternoon of contests
and competitions, and a Valentine’s Day. The host faculty also works with
the students to provide a program that exhibits and celebrates the traditions
and culture of the host country-- singing, dancing, dramatic presentations and
readings.
